KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 27): GFM Services Bhd, a facility management services provider, has signed an agreement with UDA Holdings Bhd to provide facility management services for the Bukit Bintang City Centre project.

GFM said the job includes structuring the facility management strategy for the development, determination of operational and life cycle cost as well as optimisation of design.

"Identification of the right facility management strategy shall support the business goals of the development and deliver the required level of service to the users and residents," GFM said in a statement.

GFM's managing director Ruslan Nordin said the partnership kick-starts a constructive working relationship with UDA.

"This opportunity is only the beginning. As the Bukit Bintang City Centre project is in the early stages of construction, there are certainly more that we can contribute," he said.

The Bukit Bintang City Centre project is a joint development by UDA, Eco World Development Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund. A major redevelopment of the old Pudu jail site, it will comprise mixed residential and commercial development and is expected to be developed over a period of up to 10 years. — theedgemarkets.com
