• “Tropicana Alam is our very first foray into the Puncak Alam market, and we’ll be having our official preview this Saturday."

PETALING JAYA (April 24): Tropicana Corporation Bhd has signed a dual partnership with Maybank Islamic and IKEA Malaysia to offer greater accessibility to owning and furnishing its homes.

Under Maybank Islamic’s HouzKEY scheme, first and second homebuyers will be able to secure their Tropicana homes with 100% financing, no down payment, and zero payment during the construction phase. Only a refundable security deposit of up to three months is required, calculated based on the property price and financing rate.

“These partnerships reflect our continuous commitment to redefining the art of living, and further reaffirm our commitment to providing comfortable and well-furnished homes,” said Tropicana managing director Ixora Ang at the signing ceremony on Tuesday (April 23).

“Maybank Islamic’s HouzKEY programme has already supported us and more than 120 successful homeowners across many other townships like Tropicana Heights and Tropicana Aman,” Ang added.

The projects which are included in this scheme are Tropicana Metropark’s SouthPlace 2 Serviced Residences in Subang Jaya, Tropicana Gardens’ Edelweiss Serviced Residences in Kota Damansara, and Tropicana Alam’s Avisa Residences in Puncak Alam, which is also set to be one of Tropicana’s key launches this year.

“Tropicana Alam is our very first foray into the Puncak Alam market, and we’ll be having our official preview this Saturday. We’ll also be having other launches in other key areas of Malaysia, like Genting Highlands and Johor,” said Ang.

Maybank Islamic group chief executive officer Datuk Muzaffar Hisham said: “Since the beginning of our partnership with Tropicana in 2019, both organisations have been steadfast in supporting homeownership in Malaysia. This is very much aligned with HouzKEY’s primary intent of catering to aspiring homeowners and helping them achieve their goals without the worry of huge financial commitments upfront”.

Tropicana also celebrated the start of a new partnership with IKEA Malaysia to offer exclusive furnishing packages for the homebuyers of Tropicana Metropark’s SouthPlace 1 Serviced Residences.

Buyers under Maybank Islamic’s HouzKEY programme will receive a 7% discount on IKEA’s standard furnishing packages valued between RM21,000 and RM29,000, while non-HouzKEY buyers will be entitled to a 5% discount. Homebuyers can choose one of two themed design packages, or mix and match between the two.

“We are confident that this partnership will enable us to reach a wider audience across Malaysia, offering home furnishings at an affordable price, without compromising on quality,” expressed IKEA Malaysia country retail director Malcolm Pruys.

“In terms of the packages themselves, they allow you to furnish every part of your home, from your kitchen, to your living room or your bedroom. It’s a shift for us, to be able to show our customers that we don’t just sell products, we sell totality in solutions,” Pruys added.
