SENAWANG

 

Overview

Senawang is a satellite town situated in Seremban district in the south western coastal state of Negeri Sembilan. It is about 7 km from Seremban town. Sungai Linggi flows along its northern region. Senawang Estate was one of the prominent rubber estates established in early 20^th century. In 1983, it was sold for development of housing projects.

It is a major industrial area well adapted with its elevated flat terrain for industrial parks such as Tuanku Jaafar Industrial Park, consisting of factories and industrial land, and Senawang Sentral Business Park with shop offices, terraced factories and semi-detached factories. Senawang Commercial Park (SCP), spread over 43-acres of freehold land, with 2-storey and 3-storey shop offices is a one-stop commercial and family centre commonly known as the Taipan of Senawang. It has many amenities such as fast food outlets (KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut), banks (EON, RHB, Maybank, Bank Rakyat), Watson, Penang Street and Secret Recipe.

Apart from commercial properties there are also residential properties such as, but not limited to, Seremban Jaya – mixed residential and commercial development with terrace houses and shoplots; Lavender Heights – gated and guarded community comprised of terrace houses, link houses, bungalows, bungalow lots and commercial lots where the houses are designed under an English-garden theme; Taman Cendana, Taman Alamanda and Taman Senawang Indah.

Amenities and Facilities

For shopping Tesco Extra Seremban Jaya, Giant Hypermarket, mini markets and wet markets are located in the vicinity of Senawang with many more in nearby Seremban town. Head on to Tuanku Jaafar Golf & Country Club for leisure and recreational activities. Senawang Specialist Hospital, Tuanku Jaafar Seremban Hospital and several clinics provide residents with ample health care facilities. Places of worship located nearby are Sri Durga Temple, Sri Maha Raja Rajeswarar Alayam and Masjid Tuanku Jaafar. Educational needs of locals are met by schools such as SMK Senawang, SK Senawang, SK Taman Seri Pagi, SMK Seri Pagi, SMK Seremban Jaya and SMK Senawang 3.

Accessibility and Transportation

It is close to the Senawang Toll Plaza on North-South Highway and is easily reachable via the Seremban-Senawang trunk road and Lebuhraya Kajang-Seremban (LEKAS) efficiently connecting Seremban to various locations in Klang Valley, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Jalan Rahang, Persiaran Senawang 1, Jalan Senawang and Jalan Tampin meet to form an intersection less than 1km from the Toll Plaza. The easiest way to access Seremban via public transport is through the KTM station rather than by bus.
