PETALING JAYA (March 29): Mah Sing Group Bhd’s (Mah Sing) first RUMAWIP project, Residensi Seri Wahyu in Taman Wahyu, Kuala Lumpur has achieved 100% take-up rate within two hours for the 500 units launched today.

The launch of the project’s first phase was officiated by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Mah Sing chairman Tan Sri Yaacob Mat Zain and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum.

In a press release following the launch, Leong said the strong take-up for the project is due to Mah Sing’s good track record and the project’s prime location along Jalan Kuching, just 700m from the Taman Wahyu KTM station and 2km from the Sri Delima MRT station.

“In line with our tagline to ‘reinvent spaces, enhance life’, we will continue to support the government’s effort to provide more affordable homes to cater to the market’s demand,” he said.

He added that registration for the second phase of 160 units in Residensi Seri Wahyu has opened and eligible buyers are urged to register on the RUMAWIP website.

The buyers who turned up for the balloting session today had started queueing up since 5.30am. Prior to the launch, more than 1,000 applications were received via the RUMAWIP portal over a three-week period.

“We hope to see the rakyat take advantage of RUMAWIP projects as they are well planned developments that will become an asset for young homebuyers. Keep the units even after the moratorium period, as these will be highly valued assets,” said Tengku Adnan.

Residensi Seri Wahyu comprises one tower with a total of 660 units. Each unit comes with a complimentary carpark and is priced at RM300,000 with a built-up of 805 sq ft that offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
