KUALA LUMPUR (April 4): Mudajaya Group Bhd has bagged a RM58.29 million contract from Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to undertake the supply and delivery of precast pier caps and other related work under Package PC2 of the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project linking Bandar Utama to Johan Setia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Mudajaya Group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mudajaya Corp Bhd has accepted the award of the contract yesterday from Prasarana.

The project is expected to commence by the second quarter of this year and is targeted to be fully completed by end of 2019.

"The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending 2017 onwards," said Mudajaya Group.

Mudajaya Group shares ended the morning session down two sen or 1.94% at RM1.01, with 324,100 shares done, giving it a market capitalisation of RM549.17 million. — theedgemarkets.com
