PETALING JAYA (April 8): Gamuda Land, the property development arm of Gamuda Bhd, is looking to launch phase 1 of the twentyfive.7 township located next to Kota Kemuning in 3Q2017.

The first phase of the township will consist of superlink homes and semidees with built-ups ranging from 2,120 sq ft to 3,653 sq ft. Prices will start from RM925,000.

According to Gamuda Land chief operating officer Ngan Chee Meng, the integrated landed strata township will occupy 257 acres of leasehold land, which explains its name — twentyfive.7.

The township will also comprise a commercial hub called Quayside, which will have a net lettable area of 300,000 sq ft and feature retail and F&B outlets as well as social spaces for community activities, entertainment and lifestyle performances.

“This place will suit millennial homebuyers and creative start-ups looking for a community with which to share ideas and inspirations.

“The surrounding areas are mature and have a population of 100,000 people, so we are providing something different,” he recently told City & Country.

Ngan added that Quayside will meet the retail and entertainment needs of the residents of Kota Kemuning and the surrounding areas, which they can currently get in Subang Jaya and Sunway.

“With twentyfive.7, we hope to enliven and grow Kota Kemuning and continue our legacy there. We want to do something that is sustainable and valuable that residents can pass on to their next generation. They key to this plan is placemaking,” he added.
