KUALA LUMPUR (May 11): Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) will put up for sale a total of 21,672 homes with an estimated gross development value of RM2.3 billion, this year.

In a statement today, PR1MA said it will hold 81 PR1MA open day nationwide in 2017 to aggressively promote its homes to buyers.

PR1MA has so far held 30 open days and 26 mini open days nationwide, with the latter targeted to corporate and government offices.

PR1MA chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said in previous years PR1MA was busy putting in place the foundation for its mission and now the corporation is ready to offer its products to the market.

"The open day is an interactive way for us to meet them personally and explain our products. PR1MA will also open more sales galleries to make it easier for home buyers to peruse PR1MA products and facilitate the home purchasing process," he said.

Apart from the sales gallery headquarters in Oasis Ara Damansara, PR1MA currently has a sales gallery and office in Kuching, Sarawak. Among future sales galleries in the pipeline are Melaka, Sabah and Perak.

With 8,475 homes completed, PR1MA has show houses at 12 of its project sites, from Kuala Ketil and Sungai Petani 2 in Kedah to Cyberjaya and Bandar Meru Raya in Perak.

As of April this year, 1.4 million Malaysians have registered with PR1MA and 166,972 of them had applied for PR1MA housing units.

To date, PR1MA's members of corporation had approved the construction of 265,033 units of homes, with 139,419 currently under various stages of construction. Of that total, 10,103 PR1MA housing units nationwide were booked, with 8,133 of them in the process of sale and purchase agreement signing. — theedgemarkets.com
