KUALA LUMPUR (May 23): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has bagged a RM77 million contract to build a 24-storey office building in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Kerjaya Prospek said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KPSB) has accepted a letter of award from TSM Towers Sdn Bhd to undertake the building and external works of the proposed development project. The proposed commercial building will feature a Grade A, MSC-compliant office building.

The construction works to be undertaken by KPSB will take 15 months from May 29, with completion on Aug 28 next year.

In a separate statement today, Kerjaya Prospek executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said the latest award brings the group's contract wins to RM316 million year-to-date.

"This is our first project from TSM and Kerjaya Prospek’s third contract award for the year," he added.

Kerjaya Prospek shares closed the morning session down 5 sen or 1.51% at RM3.26 per share, with 173,800 shares traded. Its market capitalisation stood at RM1.71 billion.— theedgemarkets.com
