AMPANG (May 29): MPHB Capital Bhd is expanding its property investments to grow the company's earnings.

MPHB Capital chief executive officer Kheoh And Yeng said the group had been mindful of the expansion of its property segment, but the current economic backdrop had not permitted the group to "find something that is good".

"What we will probably see is some income coming from the properties' side. This is something that we are working on," Kheoh told reporters after the group's annual general meeting here today.

"We just have to be patient as looking at the current economy, it's best not to rush," she said.

According to MPHB Capital's website, the company has property investments in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Johor

MPHB Capital said its property investments included two hotels under the Hotel Flamingo banner, one each in Selangor and Penang respectively. — theedgemarkets.com
