PETALING JAYA (June 19): IOI Properties Group Bhd has completed the Mahsan-Rompin bypass and the upgrading works of Jalan Bandar IOI-Mahsan.

According to IOI Properties, the construction of the Mahsan-Rompin bypass and the upgrading works at Jalan Bandar IOI-Mahsan were completed over a period of 18 months at a cost of RM25 million and RM4 million respectively.

The bypass connecting Mahsan to Rompin and the upgraded road will ease traffic congestion and enhance the connectivity of Bandar IOI in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan and its surrounding townships, said IOI Properties in a statement.

“The group is grateful for the assistance and support from the state government of Negeri Sembilan in initiating the idea and planning of this bypass which is vital in bringing social and economic benefits to the Jempol community and beyond. The upgrading of Jalan Bandar IOI-Mahsan has also improved road safety,” said IOI Properties group executive chairman Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng during the official opening ceremony.

The official opening ceremony of the newly built bypass today was graced by Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus Datuk Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan. Also present were IOI Properties senior general manager for property development Tan Keng Seng, Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Jempol Zazali Salehudin, ADUN Serting Datuk Shamshulkahar Mohamad Deli and Exco Committee of Negeri Sembilan Datuk Manickam A/L Letchuman.

Bandar IOI is now in the midst of constructing 126 units of Rumah Mampu Milik Type A and 206 units of Type B at Bandar IOI Bahau, and the first phase of the homes is expected to be completed by end-2017.

“In our efforts to build sustainable townships, we believe we have a role to play in creating thriving communities. With an enhanced infrastructure serving the township, we foresee greater property value appreciation in Bandar IOI,” added Tan.
