KOTA KEMUNING (July 12): Johor-based developer BCB Bhd will be launching Broadleaf Residences at its 150-acre Home Tree township development in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam by end-August.

The 49-acre leasehold project Broadleaf Residences is phase 2 of Home Tree and carries an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM650 million.

Home Tree is the second project by BCB in the Klang Valley. The development comprises five phases including residential and commercial projects.

Meanwhile, BCB subsidiary BCB Development Sdn Bhd has appointed Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd as the main contractor for this project.

Kerjaya Prospek executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said the construction contract of the guarded and gated project is valued at RM207.36 million.

“The phase 2 development consists of 265 3-storey residential units, including 99 bungalows and 166 semi-dees as well as a private clubhouse with swimming pool,” he told reporters during the official signing ceremony between BCB and Kerjaya Prospek today.

BCB founder and group managing director Tan Sri Tan Seng Leong noted that construction of Broadleaf Residences has started in June and is slated to be completed by August 2020.

“Phase 2 was soft-launched in May and received good response from the public,” he added.

Tan said Broadleaf Residences is targeting the medium- to upper-income group who wants to upgrade to bigger homes.

Broadleaf Residences’ semi-dee units have an average built-up size of 4,654 sq ft on land area ranging between 3,111 sq ft and 7,858 sq ft. The selling price starts from RM1.9 million or an average RM500 psf.

The bungalow units offer built-up choices ranging from 4,942 sq ft to 6,081 sq ft on land areas ranging between 4,553 sq ft and 7,174 sq ft. The selling price starts from RM2.79 million or an average RM580 psf.

Meanwhile, Tan noted that BCB will be unveiling the next phase, a commercial development with a GDV of RM105 million, in two to three months.

“The development comprises 23 units of 3- and 4-storey semi-dee and bungalow shophouses,” he added.

The remaining two phases, a landed residential component and a commercial development, will be launched next year.
