KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 8): Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB) has bagged a contract worth RM221.9 million to undertake substructure works for Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, AZRB said it had received the letter of award from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, and the works are slated to be completed in 28 months.

AZRB said the substructure works consist of earthworks, piling and diaphragm walls, reinforced concrete works, transmission main intake and main distribution substation works for the mixed development project.

With the new contract, AZRB said its current order book stands at RM3.7 billion, expected to sustain the group over the next three to four years.

The works are expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings, said AZRB.

“We are proud to be able to participate in this iconic development. This win is a continuing testimony to our expertise in high-rise buildings,” said its group managing director Datuk Seri Wan Zakariah Wan Muda.
