KUBANG PASU (Oct 11): The Jitra Magistrate’s Court here granted a two-day remand order on DBI Properties managing director Datuk Noruliman A Rahman to help investigations into a property scam here involving RM30,000, Bernama reported today.

Noruliman, 37, is an ex-actor and is popularly known by his stage name Boy Iman.

Also remanded were two men and a woman aged between 30 and 45, who are directors of Syarikat Juta Kelulut Global Resources reported Bernama.

Magistrate Abdul Hadi Hakimi Harun granted the remand orders under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.

Noruliman was represented by Ummi Kalthum Zakaria while Zuriah Mohd Nordin from the Legal Aid Foundation represented the other three.

According to the New Straits Times, this is the fifth remand order on all four in connection with similar investigations after they were detained recently in Ampang, Shah Alam, Muar, and Sungai Petani.

Noruliman was detained last Monday at the Bukit Indah police station in Ampang for his alleged involvement in a property scam, with losses amounting to RM6.2 million based on 203 police reports lodged.

The police started investigations after reports on the scam allegedly involving DBI Properties and Syarikat Juta Kelulut Global Resources, reported Bernama.
