PETALING JAYA (Nov 2): Jotun has launched its Jotun Global Colour Trends 2018: Rhythm of Life collection yesterday at 1Utama Shopping Centure featuring three colour themes — City Motions, Silent Serenity and Lush Garden.

According to Jotun, Malaysia is the first market in Southeast Asia to reveal the three colour themes designed to illustrate the breadth of interior styles that reflect the identities of the diverse inhabitants of every global city.

“Our research identified three trends that are common to inhabitants of every global city — our longing for the restorative power of nature; our dream of a calmer, slower-paced way of life in the sun; and our desire to make the most of our increasingly compact urban living spaces in minimalist but creative ways.

“We’ve designed our colour card as a tool to help people express these impulses in their homes — mixing and matching the colours in the way that best reflects their own identity and rhythm of life,” said Jotun Global Colour manager Lisbeth Larsen in a statement.

Boasting 32 shades, the Jotun Global Colour Trends 2018: Rhythm of Life collection provides inspiration to homeowners and home designers of all walks of life everywhere — hipsters, hippies and otherwise.

“Jotun is at the forefront of product and colour innovation, constantly striving to exceed expectations through delivery of high-quality products and long-lasting colours to skyscraping iconic buildings as well as home interiors.

“Year-round, Lisbeth [Larsen] and her team in Norway tap into design trends in global cities, pour through research reports from across the world and look at the ways in which our lifestyles are changing with the modern world — all to predict and then create the colours made available to home designers today.

“We are so proud to have Malaysia as the first market in Southeast Asia to reveal Jotun’s Global Colour Trends of 2018,” said Jotun Malaysia and Singapore managing director Eric Mallace.
