JOHOR BAHRU (Nov 7):  Mah Sing Group Bhd is launching phase two of Fern at its Meridin East township in Johor Bahru this weekend (Nov 11 and 12).

Phase 2 comprises 130 units of 2-storey terraced homes priced from RM410,55 onwards. The indicative built-ups will start from 1,622 sq ft.

“We have allocated about 9.66 acres to build SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu within our township. The addition of the school will further enhance the appeal of Meridin East for our buyers, especially married couples and young families,” said Mah Sing Group’s managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum in a statement today.

He added that this is in line with the government’s initiative to develop more Chinese schools in Selangor and Johor.

A preview of the homes was held over the weekend of Oct 28 and 29.

The launch of Fern phase 2 is part of Mah Sing’s “Reinvent Affordability” campaign which aims to provide homes with good product specifications at a price point many can afford, said the developer.

The masterplanned integrated development features a nine acre lake known as Mulberry Lake, a lush green environment and a selection of amenities to encourage healthy living.

To enhance connectivity in the township, the group is also currently constructing a link road into the Tanjung Langsat-Cahaya Baru Toll Connecting Highway, which forms part of the Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE). This will shorten travel time to key locations such as Tanjung Langsat and Pasir Gudang.

In addition to that, the group has also started upgrading works to widen Jalan Kong Kong to a 40m, four-lane thoroughfare.
