Isa Samad gives statement to cops on Felda land transfer

PUTRAJAYA (Jan 4): Ex-Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad went to Bukit Aman police headquarters this morning to provide his statement over the transfer of Felda land in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur, Bernama reported today.

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said a number of other individuals connected to the deal would also be asked to give their statements.

"I don’t need to reveal their names but we will list who to be called next to give their statements. We will try to complete recording the individuals’ statements soonest possible,” he told the media during an event.

According to reports, The Royal Malaysian Police had set up a special team to investigate Felda’s loss of ownership to four pieces of land in Jalan Semarak.

Mohamad Fuzi said Mohd Isa completed giving his statement by 10am.

It was reported last month that Felda is in danger of losing ownership of a piece of land worth up to RM270 million along Jalan Semarak, as a result of a “dubious deal” that took place about two years ago.

The land is supposed to be for the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) development project which will comprise seven towers, including Felda’s KLVC Tower1A.
