PETALING JAYA (June 25): The power at Sabah’s 1Borneo Hypermall may soon be cut as the deadline to settle its massive RM9.3 million electricity bill fast approaches.

The mall has until tomorrow to pay, said Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) Asset Management general manager Mohd Yaakob Jaafar.

According to him, SESB has given the mall – one of the state’s largest – plenty of time to settle the bill.

“So, if they still refuse to pay their RM9.3mil electricity bill on Tuesday (June 26), we will disconnect the supply on Wednesday,” he said.

Mohd Yaakob said SESB had served the mall management several notices and also held discussions with them.

He advised the management to let its tenants and clients know about the impending power cut.
