KUALA LUMPUR (July 9): Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today paid up the remaining half a million ringgit of his RM1 million bail over his case involving three counts of criminal breach of trust and one count of abuse of power relating to RM42 million belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd, reported Bernama.

Najib’s two children Nooryana Najwa and Norashman arrived at 10.04am at the Jalan Duta Courts Complex here to pay the amount.

Also accompanying them were Nooryana Najwa’s husband Daniyar Kessibayev.

Bernama also reported that Najib was handed RM489,166 from the ‘Tabung Solidariti Bebaskan Najib’ by Najib Razak Solidarity Secretariat head Datuk Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii at the same venue after the payment was made.

Najib has pleaded not guilty in the High Court to the four charges last week on Wednesday.

Judge Datuk Mohd Sofian Abd Razak allowed Najib bail of RM1 million cash and allowed him to pay in two tranches — RM500,000 on July 4 and the balance by 3pm Monday, July 9.

Norashman and Nooryana Najwa paid RM500,000 last Wednesday and pledged to settle the remaining sum by 3pm today.
