PETALING JAYA (Aug 1): A male passenger has died after allegedly falling onto the light rail transit (LRT) tracks at the Pusat Bandar Puchong LRT station this morning, reported Bernama.

Serdang district police chief ACP Ismadi Borhan confirmed the incident that took place at around 7.15am today.

The body of the victim was found on the track without identification documents, he said.

According to Ismadi, CCTV videos reveal that the man was moving towards the tracks before he was hit by a train. He was declared dead at the scene.

It is unclear if the man was intoxicated or suicidal, and police are still investigating the cause of the incident. 

However, no criminal element was found at the scene. 

The case has been classified as sudden death and the victim's body has been sent to Serdang Hospital for post-mortem, said Ismadi.
