JOHOR BAHRU (August 18): Five homes burned down last night, leaving 11 residents homeless in Jalan Sekolah Agama, Kampung Pasir Putih, Pasir Gudang.

Bernama reports that Operations Officer of the Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Department, Yaakob Mariman said the incident had been reported to the department at 7.55pm, and sent out a response of 18 members from the department and two engines.

No one was injured, as all residents were able to save themselves from any danger.

“The fire was fully extinguished at 10.04pm and the cause of the fire and estimated losses were still being determined,” he said, as quoted by the news agency.

All eleven victims were to be moved to the Dewan Muafakat, Jalan Sekolah Agama, Kampung Pasir Puteh until other arrangements were made.
