KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Travellers can now purchase KLIA Ekspres tickets on the Traveloka app, other than at KLIA Ekspres ticket counters, website and its own mobile app, according to Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL).

The new purchase channel is made available after ERL — the operator of the KLIA Ekspres that connects Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and klia2 — teams up with Traveloka, a Jakarta-based company that provides online airline ticketing and hotel booking services.

In a statement today, ERL chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor said the partnership enhances ERL's efforts at widening its distribution channel.

"We are proud to partner with a popular online travel company such as Traveloka. We believe that the trust given by Traveloka stems from our commitment to provide the best for our travellers," said Noormah, adding the group can benefit from Traveloka's platform, which ERL said is popular in Southeast Asia.

"Traveloka's commitment to providing users with a convenient and comprehensive means to book their travels is reflected in our partnership with ERL, as we continue to expand our range of products. Now, alongside booking flight tickets and hotel stays, Traveloka users can easily purchase their KLIA Ekspres tickets so they can make their way to or from the airport without worrying about traffic," said Traveloka country manager for Malaysia and Singapore Halif Hamzah.

In celebration of the new partnership, travellers will get to enjoy RM8.88 off their KLIA Ekspres fare when they buy their tickets on the Traveloka app. This offer is only available until Oct 31, ERL said. — theedgemarkets.com
