KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 29): Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) said yesterday it has received a letter of acceptance from Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd, to accept MRCB's offer to undertake Package CA2 of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) project at RM323 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, MRCB said its wholly-owned subsidiary MRCB Builders Sdn Bhd had on Jan 23 received the letter of acceptance from Turnpike Synergy for the work package.

The completion date of the project is April 3, 2020, 14 months from the date of site possession on Feb 4.

The work package involves the construction of mainline and other associated works from CH.2400 to CH.4200 of SUKE.

"The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of MRCB for the financial years 2019 and 2020," the group added.

MRCB shares closed up 0.5 sen or 0.71% at 70 sen yesterday, bringing a market capitalisation of RM3.1 billion. — theedgemarkets.com
