KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Berjaya Golf Resort Bhd, a subsidiary of Berjaya Land Bhd has launched its latest mixed development The Tropika, at the Berjaya Property Gallery in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur today.

Sitting on 6.5 acres of freehold land, this project offers a total of 868 high-rise residential units spread across four towers.

Built-ups for the units range from 732 sq ft to 1,381 sq ft with only five to seven units per level. Meanwhile, the commercial space of the project will feature a 23,695 sq ft grocer along with 2-storey dual frontage office lots ranging from 3,316 sq ft to 3,814 sq ft and retail lots ranging from 752 sq ft to 1,677 sq ft.

Within the four towers is a 2.9-acre facility deck, which will offer 68 types of facilities grouped under eight lifestyle categories. Among the facilities include an infinity pool, indoor and outdoor gymnasiums, a dance studio and a boxing ring, a zen garden, a rock-climbing wall, camping grounds, an e-charging station and many more. One of the unique features of the deck is its biophilic design whereby it is similar to the design created by some tree species where the crowns of the fully stocked trees do not touch each other, forming a canopy with channel-like gaps.

Berjaya Land CEO Datuk Pee Kang Seng said The Tropika is meticulously crafted to provide residents with a home that incorporates the elements of an urban lifestyle and the lush greenery of nature so that they will be able to experience the best of both worlds.

“The efficient utilisation of space was also imperative to us during the planning of the project as demonstrated by the unit layouts and comprehensive facilities available to residents.

“Upon completion, The Tropika will be a residence bustling with communal activities due to its linkage to public transportations and various amenities. This, coupled with its proposed facilities and nature-inspired environment, it will pave the way to a holistic and accessible lifestyle. We are confident that The Tropika will be the home of choice for many,” he added.

In an earlier interview, Pee had told EdgeProp.my that one tower offering 229 units will be opened for sale first with unit sizes ranging from 732 sq ft to 1,318 sq ft. Price psf ranges from RM750 psf to RM820 psf. All units come with two car park bays.

A Chinese New Year celebration was also held in conjunction with the launch today which saw guests enjoying an acrobatic lion dance performance. Also present at the launch event were Berjaya Land executive director Nerine Tan and senior general manager of Property Sales and Marketing Tan Tee Ming.

The Tropika is easily accessible via major highways such as the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Puchong-Sungai Besi Highway, Shah Alam Expressway, Maju Expressway (MEX) and New Pantai Expressway and is well-served by public transportation, including the Rapid KL bus and Light Rail Transit train services.

The project is also located close to educational institutions such as SJKC Lai Meng, International Medical University and Asia Pacific University, as well as sporting and recreational facilities such as the Bukit Jalil Complex, the Bukit Jalil Recreational Park, and the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort.
