KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has bagged a RM94.83 million construction contract for the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) development.

In a bourse filing, Kerjaya Prospek announced it had accepted a letter of award (LoA) yesterday from the development's developer, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd — a joint venture company set up by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), UDA Holdings and Eco World Bhd — for the construction of a main building occupying parcel 4 and parcel 5 of the development.

This building will consist of a nine-story retail podium, a five-storey car park and an LRT link bridge.

On the contract's financial effects, Kerjaya Prospek said the win would increase and enhance its existing order book.

It further added that the win is expected to positively contribute to both its earnings and net assets per share for the financial years ending 2019 to 2020 (FY19 to FY20).

"The contract is expected to provide an additional stream of revenue for the group over the next one year," the group noted.

At the midday break, Kerjaya Prospek shares were unchanged at RM1.45, valuing the group at RM1.79 billion, with a total of 6,600 shares transacted.
