KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): The retail price of RON97 petrol will be higher by one sen per litre at RM2.57 while the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will remain the same, at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre respectively, effective tomorrow until Nov 15.

The Finance Ministry said in a statement today: "Based on the calculation under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the retail prices for both RON95 and diesel should be RM2.27 per litre and RM2.28 per litre respectively."

The statement also said the estimated subsidy to be borne by the government between Nov 9 and Nov 15 would be about RM79.39 million.
