JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar launched Menara JLand in the Johor Bahru city centre today, the Star reported.

The 37-storey tower is the first building here to obtain the gold certificate for green building index (GBI) and grade A office building in the Ibrahim International Business District (IIBD) for its use of green and smart technology.

Reporting on the official opening by Sultan Ibrahim held here on Tuesday night, the Star quoted Johor Corp (JCorp) president and CEO Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, who is also Johor Land Berhad (JLand) chairman, saying the building was also strategically located at the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System, the entrance of IIBD as well as Iskandar Malaysia from Singapore.

“The building also has easy access through network connection with six economic growth areas within a 60km range which is Pasir Gudang, Senai, Iskandar Puteri, Tanjung Langsat, Tanjung Pelepas and Pengerang.

“Menara JLand is also strategic for convenience facilities with a walk bridge that will connect buildings and shopping centres around the city area.”
