KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): A total of 908 people had died in Mainland China from the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak as of yesterday (Feb 9) after 97 new deaths were reported nationwide, the Chinese government said today.

A Facebook post by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia said out of the 97 new deaths, 91 were reported in Hubei, two in Anhui and one each in Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Hainan and Gansu.

Hubei province's capital Wuhan is the epicentre of the 2019-nCoV outbreak.

Outside Mainland China, Bloomberg reported that there have been two deaths, one in Hong Kong and another in the Philippines.
