KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 26): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd is targeting to secure an order book of RM1.5 billion worth of jobs for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020 (FY20), 25% higher than its RM1.2 billion order book targeted for last year.

In FY19, the construction firm received an order book of RM1.3 billion, exceeding its target order book of RM1.2 billion, its executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said at a results briefing for its fourth quarter and full-year results ended Dec 31, 2019 (FY19) here.

Tee said the group is tendering for some RM2 billion jobs, mainly for high-rise projects.

As at Jan 31, 2020, its outstanding order book stood at RM3.9 billion, which would keep the group busy for the next three and a half to four years, according to Tee.

Kerjaya Prospek saw its net profit rise 1.4% to RM140.21 million for the financial year ended Dec 31 (FY19), from RM138.34 million a year ago, despite a 1.3% dip in revenue to RM1.05 billion versus RM1.06 billion.

At the noon break, the share price of Kerjaya Prospek was two sen or 1.25% higher at RM1.25, bringing it some RM1.53 billion. The counter saw about 33,700 shares done.
