KUALA LUMPUR (March 5): Visitors, contractors and officers entering the premises of the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) will have to undergo body temperature tests as a preventative measure amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The process, it said, will be done at all entrances at IRB premises starting March 8, for states that start their working week on Sundays, and from March 9 for states that begin their working week on a Monday.
“Customers, contractors and officers that exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 such as coughing, fever and difficulty breathing, will not be granted access to the premises of IRB and will be advised to urgently seek medical attention,” it said in a statement today.
IRB also advised customers to settle their tax-related matters online by using EzHasil, without having to be present at its premises given the risk of Covid-19 transmission in crowded places.
