KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): Hulu Langat and Lembah Pantai have the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases in Malaysia, accounting for 5.5% of the total 2,766 cases reported yesterday, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Based on an MoH infographic, Hulu Langat has the highest number of infections so far with 265 cases, while Lembah Pantai has 238 cases, placing them in the red zone category.

Red zones are areas with over 40 cases of confirmed infections.

In Peninsular Malaysia, other areas with the highest infection rates include Seremban (119), Johor Bharu (112), Kluang (107), Kepong (84), Kota Bharu (80), Kinta (77), Titiwangsa (75), Klang (74), Gombak (62), and Hilir Perak (57).

Meanwhile, Kuching and Tawau have the highest number of infections in East Malaysia, with 97 and 63 cases respectively.

As of yesterday, Malaysia has recorded 140 confirmed infections, pushing the tally to 2,766 cases.

At the state level, Selangor continues to lead with the highest number of cases at 704, followed by Kuala Lumpur (430), Johor (349) and Sabah (206).
