Covid-19: Seremban market closed after two traders test positive

SEREMBAN (May 3): Another wet market in the country has to close owing to the Covid-19 spread.

The Star reported today that the Seremban wet market (pictured) has been “closed indefinitely” for cleaning and sanitising after two traders here tested positive for the viral infection.

Meanwhile, some traders at Seremban market “who came into contact” with traders from the Selayang wholesale market have been urged to go for tests on Thursday (May 7).

Earlier last month, areas around the Selayang wholesale market were placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) when a spike of Covid-19 cases were detected.

In the Klang Valley, two wet markets, one at Taman Megah and the other at Jalan Othman (PJ Old Town) were closed last week as traders there were also discovered with the Cobid-19 infections.
