KUALA LUMPUR (May 5): A fire broke out last night at a construction site of a high-rise residential project at Solaris Mont’Kiara, reported China Press.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue operational centre spokesperson said the department had received a distress call at around 1am and 3 fire engines from Sri Hartamas, Jalan Hang Tuah and Sentul along with 48 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

According to the spokesperson, the construction site has four containers, two of it are workers’ hostel, one is used as a warehouse and another one used as a canteen.

 

The fire was brought under control at 3.15am and the cause of the fire was under investigation. No person was injured in the fire incident.
