PETALING JAYA (June 2): If you have to travel beyond your state for the solemnisation of marriage, you are now allowed to do that, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pictured).

And pre-wedding outdoor photo shoots are also okay now.

But police permission is still needed to go beyond the border of a state to get hitched.

“Those involved must follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs), such as not having more than 20 people at the ceremony, practising social distancing and avoiding pressing of palms,” The Star reported Ismail Sabri saying during his daily briefings today.

“The photo shoots are, however, limited to pre-wedding and solemnisation ceremonies, and subjected to the determined SOP,” he added.

Meanwhile, the minister also said that the shootings for dramas, films and advertisements will be allowed from June 10 but, again, they must adhere to the SOPs, reported Bernama.
