The innovative campaign was initiated in response to feedback from people who were keen to own a home but felt cautious due to current economic conditions and the pandemic.

The beauty of the Always with You campaign is its voluntary exit plan that helps minimise the homebuyer’s risk.

Due to the pandemic, there are concerns over job security accompanied by uncertainties about the current situation. As such, the voluntary exit plan is being put in place to allow customers to still purchase their dream home with ease of mind as they are able to exit the purchase in the event of a loss of employment and obtain a refund.

The voluntary exit plan is also applicable in cases of disability or critical illness up to 12 months from the signing of the sales and purchase agreement or up to vacant possession, whichever is earlier.

Under the campaign, purchasers will also be able to enjoy special promotional price, benefit from an interest-free instalment plan of up to 24 months, choose a flexi financing scheme and opt for a guaranteed loan from Sunway Property of up to 95% of the purchase price.

The campaign runs from April 22 to June 30. Properties participating in this campaign include Sunway GEOLake Condo and Townhouse, Sunway Gandaria, Sunway Avila, Infiniti 3, Sunway Serene and Sunway Subang – all in the Klang Valley; Sunway Onsen Suites in Ipoh; Sunway Cassia Semidee and Terrace as well as Sunway Wellesley in Penang; and five projects in Johor namely Sunway Citrine Lakehomes, Sunway Citrine Residences, Sunway Emerald Residence, Sunway GRID Residence, and Sunway Lenang Heights.

From now until the end of the year, Sunway Property expects the market to consolidate in favour of real estate players who have strong balance sheets, low gearing and have diversified asset portfolios.

Property sales may be lower than last year and the performance of the property market will also depend on how fast the Malaysian economy recovers post the Movement Control Order (MCO) period. The lower interest rate environment has allowed for better purchasing power and we believe that strong locations will continue to attract homebuyers and investors.

The company believes that in this crisis, agile developers and operators especially those who are already digitalising their operations, those who have been differentiating themselves and those who have been well-prepared to face demographic and demand shifts even before the pandemic, can emerge better-positioned to bring value to their stakeholders in the long term. Thus, this digital campaign was launched in tandem with the shift in customer behaviour as a result of the MCO. Sunway Property will continue to focus on social media and online digital marketing channels to reach out to interested buyers going forward.

As consumers have shifted their purchases online since the MCO, Sunway Property has doubled up their customer engagement online, interacting with their customers through virtual tours, live chats and other digital channels.

It also notes that during the engagement with its customers, some of them have highlighted their concerns over uncertainties yet are increasingly aware of the need to have well-built and well-designed homes, as well as the importance of homes as safe havens since they are spending more time at home because of the pandemic.
