PETALING JAYA (June 26): To Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld), seeing their projects win awards is the greatest motivation for the developer to continue to excel themselves in the industry, said EcoWorld Malaysia president & CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah.

At EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards 2020, EcoWorld’s affordable housing project Karisma Apartment @ Eco Majestic  was named EdgeProp Malaysia Editor’s Choice Awards: Malaysia’s Outstanding Affordable Homes Project 2020.

“The award showcases our continued commitment to enhance the built environment in all of our projects as we place a firm emphasis on innovation and sustainability to alleviate the lifestyle of our residents,” Chang said in an acceptance speech during a virtual awards ceremony hosted on EdgeProp Malaysia’s Facebook page this evening.

Located in the 1,089-acre Eco Majestic township development in Semenyih, Selangor, the affordable housing development comprises 750 units of 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments of 800 sq ft each, sold from as low as RM260,000.

Each unit comes with two car parks and other amenities set in an ambience that makes no hint of the affordable pricing tag.

This project stands out not only for its sustainable design and upkeep. The minimalist concept and approach extends to the project amenities and landscape with no compromise on the aesthetics.

Karisma Apartment was also the Silver winner (the only winner in its category) in the Sustainable Affordable Housing category of EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards 2020.

Meanwhile, EcoWorld’s Urban Park @ Eco Spring received a Special Mention in the EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award 2020 category.

Chang noted that the awards served as a motivation to team Ecoworld to push forward to accomplish its vision of Creating Tomorrow & Beyond.

“The vision could be achieved by staying relevant to the needs of the market and industry norms, with innovative fresh ideas and coming up with new products that enrich the life experiences of all generations,” he emphasised.
