PETALING JAYA (Sept 19): Tropicana Corp Bhd launched the fifth and final tower of its Tropicana Gardens development called Edelweiss SOFO and Serviced Residences today.

“Following the success of our first four towers at Tropicana Gardens, we listened to feedback from our customers and integrated it into Edelweiss. It exudes modern, urban vibes and yet still able to provide its residents a quiet place to rest,” said Tropicana Corp marketing and sales managing director Joanne Lee at the official launch event.

According to Lee, the latest offering at Tropicana Gardens is already 75% booked. The developer added that the launch targets young executives, urbanites, young families and empty nesters.

Situated on a 2.35-acre (0.95ha) plot in Tropicana Indah, Edelweiss SOFO and Serviced Residences have a gross development value (GDV) of RM855 million. The 52-storey tower comprises a total of 630 units of serviced residences with a multi-tiered security system and a smart home concept. The units have built-ups ranging from 452 to 858 sq ft with flexible, open layouts. The indicative price of the units starts from RM438,000.

Edelweiss features multigenerational living and dual-key units. Its SOFO units are suitable for an array of businesses that include modern offices, short-term rentals and so on.

Facilities include a 50m infinity pool, children’s pool, wading pool, a yoga deck, a children’s playroom, children’s playground, a reading room, gymnasium and a BBQ area. There is also a pedestrian bridge that connects Edelweiss to Tropicana Gardens Mall, which has tenants such as Village Grocer, MBO Cinemas and food and beverage (F&B) outlets. The pedestrian bridge also connects to the Surian MRT Station, which is one stop away from Mutiara Damansara and two stops away from Bandar Utama.

Nearby amenities include education institutions such as St Joseph's Institution International School Malaysia and SEGi University, golf courses such as Seri Selangor Golf Club and Tropicana Golf, Thomson Medical Centre, and shopping centres such as 1 Utama, The Curve, Sunway Giza, IKEA and Tropicana Avenue.

In terms of accessibility, the development is connected to four major highways, which are the Damansara-Puchong Expressway, Sprint Highway, New Klang Valley Expressway and Penchala Link.

Meanwhile, the group highlighted the Tropicana 10-TEN EX10SION campaign, which offers 0% hassle and 100% flexibility with three new features — 100% financing, a 10% discount and furnishing package — and remained positive about the current market sentiment. “We expect the local property market to see a modest recovery in 2020. Property still remains an attractive investment with a wide range of new properties available and various government stimulus measures introduced,” said Lee.

She added that potential homebuyers should take advantage of the attractive packages, low interest rates and government initiatives.
