PETALING JAYA (Oct 10): The Petaling Disaster Management Committee has ordered the 1Utama Shopping Mall (pictured) and Tropicana Golf and Country Resort to close from tomorrow for contact tracing and sanitisation after Covid-19 cases were detected at both premises.

Based on a circular issued by the committee and “sighted” by the Malay Mail, the order came about after four confirmed infections (three staff and one shopper) were detected in 1Utama Shopping Mall and five staff members from the golf club contracted the Covid-19 virus.

The committee called on shoppers who went to 1Utama’s Cosmetic and Perfumes section on level-G in Parkson Elite, between Sept 30 and Oct 7 to get tested for Covid-19, reported the news portal.

Those who also should be tested are shoppers who visited Mac City on level-two of the mall between Sept 25 and 30.

“The Petaling District Health Office will be conducting Covid-19 health screenings in One Utama on 14 and 15 October, 2020, from 9am until 2pm.

“Those prioritised in the screening process are close contacts to the cases, and who are shoppers who visited those premises mentioned,” stated the committee’s circular.
