KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 12): Apple reseller Machines has confirmed that an employee at its outlet in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur was tested positive for Covid-19, according to the company’s announcement on Facebook today.

It also stressed that the said outlet has been closed for disinfection and thorough cleaning until further notice, after being informed by the said employee of the test results.

“The employee has not been at work since clocking out on Oct 8, 2020. On Oct 10, 2020, he informed us of positive Covid-19 cases in the block of flats where he lives. Arrangements were immediately made for his testing and self-quarantine.

“We are working closely with KKM (Ministry of Health) to identify contacts for testing and quarantine. We shall be conducting wider precautionary testing in the interest of the safety of our employees and customers,” the company said.

This is the second reported case at Mid Valley Megamall, with the first being an employee who worked for London Sales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd (LSC) which runs three outlets in Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall namely Origani and Élévatione Time Stops in The Gardens Mall and Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops in Mid Valley Megamall.
