KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 13): The reported case of Covid-19 infection of a staff at Mid Valley Megamall and The Garden Mall turned out to be a false positive test.

“Late last night (12‐10‐2020) our management received the joyous news that our senior staff has been discharged from Sungai Buloh Hospital.

“After another two rounds of NPS PCR testing and extensive blood work, her results came back negative for Covid-19. This conclusively demonstrates that the original diagnosis was erroneous and a false positive report.

“Our staff is safe, healthy, and currently at her home with her family members, all of which also tested negative for Covid-19,” Londonsales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd (LSC) said in a statement.

The case was linked to beauty shops operated by LSC at The Garden Mall and Mid Valley Megamall,  -- Origani and Élévatione Time Stops and Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops. Both mall managements were informed of the “positive test” result on Oct 11.

“Our management puts the health and well-being of the LSC family first, which is why 95% of all our operations staff have already gone for PCR testing and received negative results.

“The remaining 5% will receive their results in 48 hours. Additionally, all our outlets have been thoroughly sanitised,” added LSC.
