Positive Covid-19 cases detected at Tesco, Wisma Bentley Music in Mutiara Damansara

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Positive Covid-19 cases have been found at Tesco Extra and Wisma Bentley Music in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. 

Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd said it has been informed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) that an intern attached to the Mutiara Damansara Tesco Extra store has tested positive for Covid-19. 

Tesco said it is working with the MoH to ensure that the health and safety of its staff who may have been in close contact.

In the meantime, Tesco is taking proactive measures to disinfect and deep clean the store overnight as a precaution, and will reopen tomorrow. 

Wisma Bentley Music, located across the street from the Tesco store, has also reported a positive case at its EXSIM Sales Gallery on Level 1. 

“The visitor in question was in the building on Oct 11 between 12.30pm to 3pm,” Wisma Bentley Music said in a statement released yesterday. 

“Currently, it is our understanding that the visitor only visited the EXSIM Sales Gallery.”  

Wisma Bentley Music said it will lodge updates to MoH to inform them of the case, and also perform checks on the contact tracing of the person.
