PETALING JAYA (Oct 15): A total of 105 Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in the 1 Utama Shopping Centre, according to a Facebook posting by the Petaling District/Land Office (PDTP).

In its FB update this morning at 8.02 am, PDTP stated there was an increase to yesterday's reported number of positive cases in the 1 Utama cluster, bringing it to 79 security personnel, 18 cleaners and eight tenant staff: namely one C&C Cookies, one Daiso and six Teh Tarik Place.

It also added that all of them were non-Malaysians except the Daiso staff member.

Prior to that on Oct 14, it had posted a press release by the Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Daerah (JPBD) Petaling which stated that 63 people in 1 Utama had been tested positive of the Covid-19 virus, comprising its management, tenant and security staff, as well as three visitors.

However, the 1 Utama management issued a statement at 9.30 am today which refuted the claim of 63 cases made by JPBD. It also stressed that no index cases has been identified as coming from 1 Utama.
