KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 17): A staff of the All IT Hypermarket located at the 7th Floor of SOGO Kuala Lumpur tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, said the mall’s management.

“In light of this development, mitigation steps and public safety measures have been swiftly activated to limit any potential risk. We are working closely with the relevant parties to undertake all necessary actions,” SOGO Kuala Lumpur said in a statement on its Facebook page.

The staff has not reported to work since Oct 12.

SOGO Kuala Lumpur stated that the mall will close the seventh floor on Oct 17 for sanitisation and will reopen the floor on Oct 18.

All other floors from Lower Ground Floor to 6th Floor of SOGO Kuala Lumpur will “remain open as usual”.
