The areas concerned are Zone B and Zone C in Taman Meru 2C. The EMCO will involve up to 2,288 residents and 572 homes in the areas.

“On the advice of the Health Ministry, the National Security Council special meeting has agreed to place the two localities in Ipoh under enhanced MCO for 14 days until Dec 3,” Ismail Sabri said.

He added targeted screening will be conducted on the residents of the two areas and those who found Covid-19 positive will be taken to hospital for treatment.

As for the EMCO, Ismail Sabri said the existing standard operating procedure “including not allowing movements in and out of the area without police permission” will be adhered to.
