KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): MBSB Bank Bhd will be offering the B40/M40 Targeted Repayment Assistance for the bottom 40% and middle 40% income groups to further assist those adversely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement today, MBSB president and chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Ahmad Zaini Othman said the bank will continue to lend a helping hand to customers in a difficult financing predicament.

“MBSB Bank has successfully assisted over 2,200 customers by granting [a] moratorium or reduction in monthly payments,” he said.

MBSB said B40 individuals who are recipients of Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) can obtain a three-month deferment of monthly payments or reduction in monthly payments by 50% for a period of six months.

Meanwhile, for individuals in the M40 category registered under Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN), they can receive a reduction in monthly payments by 50% for a period of six months upon obtaining approval.

The bank said financing facilities available under the repayment assistance programme include property financing, personal financing and auto financing.

Microenterprises with approved financing facilities of up to RM150,000.00 are also eligible.
