KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): With conditional movement control order (CMCO), most of us sometimes forget that shops close at 10pm. And that was what happened to poor Zul Hilmy of Kampung Bemban, Senaling, Negri Sembilan.

On the night of Tuesday (Nov 24), he had to drive all the way to a 7-Eleven outlet in Kuala Pilah to buy formula milk for his one-day-old baby as his wife could not produce enough milk, said a report by Sin Chew daily.

But it was already way after 10pm when he reached Kuala Pilah and to his horror saw all the shops were closed owing to the enforcement of CMCO.

Fortunately, he was stopped by two policemen, L/Kpl Mohd Hasnofikry Mohd Hanapi and Muhammad Dinie, on patrol in front of a shop where Zul told them of his trouble.

The men in blue jumped to the rescue by asking Zul to follow them to Kuala Pilah IPD housing quarters where Muhammad Dinie gave him some formula milk.

Kuala Pilah IPD chief Supt Amran Mohd Ghani told the Chinese daily he was “pleased with the policemen’s actions and they are role models, helping those in need”.
