PETALING JAYA (Jan 14): Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (pictured) has tested positive for Covid-19 infection and has been admitted to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UUMC) here, according to a report by Astro Awani.

"Tengku Razaleigh was screened recently and the results came back positive. He is currently at UMMC in a stable condition.

"He is a close contact of Nenggiri assemblyperson Abdul Aziz Yussof who recently tested as Covid-19 positive," a source told Astro Awani.

On Jan 9, Aziz tested positive for the coronavirus alongside Gua Musang Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani.

Recent reports stated that Tengku Razaleigh's aide Lokman Abdul Ghani also tested positive for Covid-19 and was being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Tengku Razaleigh, 83, is the MP for Gua Musang.
