TNB: 10,768 commercial customers automatically eligible for 10% power discount

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 21): Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) said 10,768 of its commercial customers who had previously received a 15% discount under the Penjana economic stimulus package are automatically eligible for the 10% discount under the new Permai package.

The 10,768 customers are from six sectors that have been severely affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic, namely hotel operators, theme parks, convention centres, shopping malls, local airline offices, as well as travel and tour agencies.

“Customers from the six sectors who have not been included in the initial approved list by the government may submit their appeal by filling up the 10% Discount Application form,” TNB said on its website yesterday. 

The completed forms and supporting documents should be submitted to TNB by March 31, it said. 

The 10% discount under the Permai package is for bills from Jan 1 until March 31. The package was announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin on Jan 18.
