KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 23): Two fishmongers operating from the Jinjang Utara morning market (pictured) have tested positive for Covid-19 infection, The Star reported today.

As a result, the market will be closed from Jan 25 to 27 for cleaning and disinfection.

"We suspect that they (the fishmongers) contracted the virus from Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur in Selayang.

"The closure has gotten the approval from the association members and market traders,” Kepong Hawkers and Petty Traders Association vice-chairman Deric Teh told the daily.

"Meanwhile, we urge market traders and their helpers to get Covid-19 swab tests before the reopening of the market on Thursday (Jan 28)," Teh added.
