PETALING JAYA (April 26): Home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) for all schools will be commenced for two weeks after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri school break.

Education Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said PdPR will begin from May 16 to 27 for schools under first category, while schools under the second category will start from May 17 to 28.

In his Facebook posting today, the minister said the measure is to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission that could happen outside school during the festive season and could increase the transmission in educational institutions.

The announcement is expected to affect some 2.7 million students at 7,780 primary schools and 2.03 million students at secondary schools nationwide.
