KUALA LUMPUR (May 24): An unknown number of passengers on the LRT Kelana Jaya line were injured in an “incident” involving two trains.

In a statement released by Rapid KL, it involved trains number 40 and 81 at around 9pm.

“Our team is mobilising help and rescue assistance right now,” Rapid KL said in a brief statement.

“Please remain calm and obey all instructions,” it added.

Photos and videos being shown on social media, revealed injured passengers with some bleeding still trapped in the coaches.

Broken glass and debris were also strewn all over the floor of the coaches while some passengers were seen comforting those injured and lying on the floor.

Bernama reported that Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Mohamad Zainal Abdullah is currently at the scene.
